CREATIVE + MUSIC + MASCOT PERFOMANCE

WORK WITH MIKEY

Ever since Mikey Navarro was young, he’s loved the creative process. Whether it be music, art, films, or ideating, Mikey learned to create using different mediums and materials. Since high school, he focused his educational studies on music and the arts, dedicating his entire class schedule to Art, Orchestra, Drumline, Choir, Band, Jazz Band, Symphony, and Drama. His extracurriculars were also the performing arts: acting as Clackamas high school’s mascot, acting in school plays and musicals, and performing with the Portland Trailblazers’ Drumline, ‘The Groove Machine.’ Mikey decided to continue his passion for telling stories, attending the University of Oregon to study music, and becoming the school’s iconic mascot, The Oregon Duck.

By day, he studied performing Opera and by night, he was DJing the local bar and club scene. Between all his classes and DJing, he performed as The Oregon Duck across all women’s and mens sports, school events, corporate appearances, television commercials, social media, live television spots, and philanthropic visits, all while creatively finding new ways to increase The Duck’s national and international brand recognition.

Working hand-in-hand with the Oregon Athletic Department developing a strong social media presence, he focuses on creating strong and quality organic content. He understood a career in social media would allow him to continue to be creative, develop his production skills, and continue to tell stories.

Post graduation, he moved to San Francisco, CA to be a social media specialist  for the San Francisco Giants and a social media consultant for the San Francisco 49ers. Additionally he worked as a member of the Golden State Warriors’ “Hoop Troop” and became Raider Rusher, the first ever mascot for the Oakland Raiders.

His acting and mascot work led him to consult on Christopher Guest’s mockumentary, “Mascots” on Netflix, where he oversaw every mascot scene in the film and performed onscreen as six different characters.

For the 5 years, Mikey was the Senior Producer of Content Innovation for Bleacher Report creating social media content for Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, and Facebook, helping grow their Instagram account from 2 million to over 16.4 Million followers during his tenure. At Bleacher Report, he creatively provided music, directed, produced, and innovated ways to tell stories.

In September 2020, he launched Mikey Navarro Productions LLC, a Creative Agency dedicated to pushing the boundaries of creative excellence across every medium - producing world-class social content, music, marketing materials and unforgettable live brand experiences that moves culture, building brands and refusing to be ordinary.

Since then, Mikey has co-wrote and published a children’s book “A Duck from Oregon Tries to Fly,” worked alongside 4x NBA Champion Stephen Curry with Unanimous Media, performed with the Foo Fighters, Black Eyed Peas, Spinal Tap, Gwen Stefani, Chainsmokers, Flo Rida, and developed creative design for Mr. Beast.

Work featured in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Forbes, TIME, Netflix, ESPN, USA TODAY, SB NATION, Bleacher Report,
